The company’s history

Milestones in the history of PressiousArvanitidis printing:


1970

Diamantis Arvanitidis, father of the company's present owners, opens his printing business.

1997

The company is joined by the second generation of Arvanitidises and renamed Arvanitidis EPE (Limited) as it moves into new, 400-sqm premises.

 

1998

Arvanitidis EPE becomes the first Greek printing company to invest in new color-printing equipment (SM 74-4).

 

 

 

2000

Sensing the sector's trend towards decentralization
and mindful of European Union environmental
regulations, Arvanitidis EPE acquires a tract at
Hypatos, near Thiva, where it plans to eventually
relocate.

 

2002

The company relocates to its own state-of-the-art
5,500-sqm premises at Hypatos (at the 78th
kilometer of the Athens-Lamia national road). A new
production line is installed with the purchase of the
CD 102-5.

 

2004

The company's production is vertically integrated with the addition of binding equipment.

 

 

2005

The company's production is expanded through the purchase of new equipment (CD 102-5 LX3 & SM 102-8). Arvanitidis EPE also becomes the second's first company to invest in image control capabilities which are linked to its printing presses.

 

2006

Arvanitidis EPE is reincorporated as Arvanitidis ABEE and adopts PressiousArvanitidis as its new business identity.

 

2007

PressiousArvanitidis receives EN ISO 9001-2008 certification from TÜV Austria.

 

2009

PressiousArvanitidis receives EN ISO 14001-2008 from TÜV Austria.

 

2010

PressiousArvanitidis becomes a certified member of the FSC monitoring chain via France's Bureau Veritas. To date, it is the only Greek FSC-certified company in the printing sector, proving its membership in the global group of innovator companies creating a protective shield against unchecked destruction of forests and the natural environment.

 

2011

The company initiates the process for acquiring ISO 12647-2 color management certification from Heidelberg and installs an internal waste-water management system in line with all environmental regulations. In late 2011, PressiousArvanitidis adds a new page to hits history when it unveils a new logo that enshrines its business identity.

 

2012

In 2012, PressiousArvanitidis receives an award for acquiring and putting into operation a new unit for processing liquid and industrial waste. In the same year, PressiousArvanitidis became the first Greek printing company to introduce carbon-neutral printing equipment into its production line. And, in May 2012, PressiousArvanitidis became a member of the not-for-profit Supplier Ethical Data Exchange, or Sedex.

 

 

2013

In September 2013, PressiousArvanitidis was certified by TUV Austria for the OHSAS 18001:2007 standard for occupational safety. Also in 2013, PressiousArvanitidis became the first-and to date remains the only-Greek printing company certified for the ISO 12647-2 color management standard in printing.

 

2014

Earlier this year, PressiousArvanitidis completed an important investment in new production equipment with the installation of a new eight-color double-sided offset printing press.

This new press has a maximum capacity of 2,500,000 full-color double-sided A4 pages per day and has increased PressiousArvanitidis's productivity by 40 per cent. The new equipment enhances our capability to "Print Your Mind" by expanding the output of high-quality products.

 

2015

Another investment in production equipment was made in 2015, with the acquisition of a new eight-color printing machine, thanks to which the production capacity increased by 30%. 


 

2016

In 2016 PressiousArvanitidis invested in the recruitment of new executives in its Commercial Department, aiming to further enhance the company's extroversion. 

2017

In 2016 PressiousArvanitidis was licensed to produce Walt Disney Greece branded printed material.  PressiousArvanitidis' certification is valid for the next three years and is a continuation of the first certification that was received in 2012 by SEDEX, on behalf of a large multinational company.
